Resumen


From natural history to biology using Lakatos’ model

Evolutionary biology history is recounted here using Lakatos’ model. We deal with the transformation of the natural history research program to the evolutionary biology one. Lakatos’ framework allows us to study step by step the transformations within theoretical structures, conferring rationality to science changes. Such scheme fits adequately in physics, yet for biology demands some artificial basic assumptions.
