La historia de la medicina bajo la lente de las ciencias de la complejidad

Resumen

The history of medicine from the complexity sciences viewpoint.

The historiography of medicine in Mexico had followed several perspectives: Positivism, Marxism, and the Annales School, among others. I argue here that we must become attuned to our times of social, scientific, and technological changes, so regarding history of medicine, chronological and determinist schemes should be complemented with system theory and complexity sciences. These are affecting every field of knowledge even if they are still in process of development.
