Resumen


Evolution, society and culture.

The role of symbolic human capacities is discussed in relation to biological and social factors. It is sustain that when biological determinants have been overemphasized, it causes social and cultural factors to be underestimate. Symbolic human capacities are discussed and it is concluded that cultural or symbolic factors should be taken into account in order to provide an integral view of human evolution.
